Who should attend the Working at Height course?
This online Working at Height course is suitable for all employees required to work at height regularly. Working at height refers to operating above ground or floor level where there is a risk of equipment, machinery and personnel falling from an edge, platform, ladder, fragile surface, through an opening, from scaffolds or alongside deep trenches.
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 was introduced to prevent death and injury caused by a fall from height. Employees have a legal duty to take reasonable care of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions.
Please note that this is an awareness course only and has been created for those who require knowledge of the hazards and risks of working at height. If you are about to begin working at height, you will need an approved standard of practical training, which we can also offer at any of centres across the UK or at your premises.

Working at Height CERTIFICATE
Working at Height
The Work at Height Regulations (2005) are very important, and rightly so – falls from a height account for more deaths every year in the workplace than any other single issue. That’s what makes our working at height training course essential for anyone who has to work in any area where there may be a risk of harm or injury from a fall.
WHO NEEDS WORKING AT HEIGHT TRAINING?
Anyone who is likely to work at height on a regular basis during their normal working day should take part in this training before carrying out any onsite work at height. Anyone who supervises work at height should also pass this course before carrying out any workplace activities.
WHAT DOES WORKING AT HEIGHT TRAINING COVER?
The course will cover all aspects of training at height and aims to give enhanced awareness of the dangers of working at height, not only to those working above ground level but also those at ground level who may still be injured from a fall.
For example, working alongside an unguarded inspection pit would be just as hazardous ‘working at height’ as there is the potential for a fall resulting in injury or even death. Due care must also be given to colleagues and members of the public who may be injured on the ground by those working above.
Working at Height
There’s no denying that the Work at Height Regulations (2005) are extremely important for employers, as falls from height account for more deaths than any other single issue every year.
In order for your staff to be completely competent when it comes to working safely at height, we would strongly recommend that your employees carry out our video conference training course.
