This is the Qualsafe Emergency First Aid at Work 1 Day course; it teaches delegates how to deal with multiple emergency first aid situations and scenarios. Covered within this are minor injuries, wounds, bleeding, choking, shock, managing an unresponsive casualty and of course CPR.

It is vital to ensure that as an employer you have people trained to the relevant standard to deal with a variety of health issues that could occur in the workplace.

In order to determine if this course is enough or whether you would require the 3-day First Aid at Work course you should carry out an employer’s First Aid Needs Assessment.

  • Be able to provide First Aid to a casualty with external bleeding
  • Understand how to provide First Aid to a casualty in shock
  • Understand how to provide First Aid to a casualty with minor injuries

This course is aimed at beginners as well as people who have taken the course before.

As there are little or no practical elements to this course, you are not required to bring any PPE but please wear comfortable clothes for performing CPR.
