The IOSH Working Safely course covers all the essentials of health and safety in the workplace in a jargon-free and engaging manner. This industry-leading one-day course can be delivered by one of our IOSH-accredited instructors anywhere in the UK, either at one of our training centres or on your premises.

The course is a must across a range of industries, introducing important Health and Safety Training ideas and themes. From an employer’s perspective it ensures your staff have received adequate training across a range of subjects.

This is an entry level course, for managers and directors, Boss Training offer both the IOSH Managing Safely Course and the IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors.

This course is made up of 4 modules focusing on providing you with knowledge of general workplace hazards and why health and safety is so important to employee well-being. To complete this course, you must pass a multiple-choice assessment consisting of 10 questions and a hazard-spotting exercise.

  • What is “health and safety”
  • Accident theory
  • The legal, financial and moral reasons to work safely
  • The 5-step risk assessment process
  • How to identify, prevent and control a host of workplace hazards
  • Health and Safety Management System: Plan – Do – Check – Act
  • The health and safety responsibilities of contractors, safety representatives, individuals and enforcement officers
  • Systems and procedures including safe systems of work, PPE, emergency procedures, safety signs, Permit-to-Work, first aid arrangements and accident reporting
